Video Marketing Cheat Sheet (Part 1): Why is the Product Relevant?

One of the things I have enjoyed doing a lot of in the past few years is playing around with video to help market a product, event, idea, etc.  Although by no means an expert, I have created a 3-part series (using Lawline.com videos I produced) to illustrate how to use video to market various aspects of your product by showcasing three approachable concepts to test the waters in video marketing.

Part 1: Why is the Product Relevant?

In creating a marketing plan, the first important factor to focus on is explaining to the potential consumer why the product is relevant to them.  Remember – this is not about you as the company or an opportunity to tell everyone why your product is the best thing since sliced bread. Instead, this is all about the consumer – it’s all about showing the consumer why they will benefit from using the product. See the example below.

I have found that storytelling works best to keep the viewer engaged while still inserting the much needed facts you want your consumer to know about. In addition, a series of questions keeps the viewer invested as they await the answer (and, accordingly, how your product will fulfill their need).
