YOGA in NOLA: Yoga at the Cabildo

IMG_4237.JPG

My recent visit to New Orleans found me doing yoga in one of the most beautiful and historical spaces I have practiced yet … at the Cabildo in Jackson Square (see above).

Yoga at the Cabildo is a highly enjoyable 60-minute practice lead by instructor and long time practitioner Nina Boasso who decided to share the gift of yoga through teaching following a life-changing experience from Hurricane Katrina.

Founded in 1956, the Friends of the Cabildo (FOC) is a local nonprofit organization that supports the Louisiana State Museum (LSM). The FOC assist the LSM through a variety of functions including providing volunteers and financial support to all State Museum properties in New Orleans and the state of Louisiana.
